The Mediterranean diet

The Mediterranean diet was created in the United States in the 1980s to reflect the eating habits of the people in Greece and Italy during the 1960s. The point of this diet is to not feel in any way deprived. Instead, the menu for those following the Mediterranean diet is a rich, varied assortment of recipes filled with all the tastes and textures that you love.

In fact, there are some foods in this diet in which you can indulge as much as you want. In fact, the main foods that are stales of this diet would be whole ingredients, like fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains and various nuts and seeds. If you are one of those people who can not get enough olives, the Mediterranean diet may be the diet for you. Not much is cut out entirely, but the Mediterranean diet does have you sparingly indulging in red meats.
